It started in Grannagh.
Country Style Foods began in 1985 in Grannagh, on the Kilkenny–Waterford border, supplying traditional Irish breakfast and cooked meats made with good Irish pork and simple recipes.
Those same recipes still anchor everything we do. We have grown from local shelves to supplying supermarkets, foodservice kitchens and contract partners across the southeast, at the same standard.

Long before a website, the Countrystyle float toured the region with its six counties lettered along the trailer: Cork, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Carlow. We still deliver to every one of them.
Then and now.
A different counter, the same idea: good Irish pork, simple recipes, and people who know the customer by name. Drag the handle to see the two counters, forty years apart.
More than a supplier.
The recipes, the family and the townland have stayed put. Here is some of what that looks like day to day.

The one they call “red lead”.
Every region has a taste it grew up on. Ours is the luncheon roll, known the length of the southeast as “red lead” for its striking colour.
It has been the market leader in the southeast for years: sliced thin on the deli counter, or thick in a Saturday sandwich. It is still made to the same recipe, in the same building in Grannagh.
On the sideline, since the start.
You will find the Country Style name on jerseys and sidelines right across the southeast. We are happy to support the local clubs and charitable causes our own families and staff are part of.
Keeping it in the family.
The Country Style family has grown to include McGrath’s Jams, the handmade Waterford marmalades, jams and honey, now produced and distributed alongside our own range.
Same idea, different jar: good local food, made the honest way, by people who live down the road.
